*Once a month, my precious grandmother takes me and my mom (and my sister if she is in town) out to lunch and to get our nails done. This time we were pleasantly surprised to have another family member join us on our outing. Any guesses who it was? Being secure enough in his manhood, Mike joined the ladies for his very first mani/pedi, and I dare say he enjoyed the pampering!
*And to add to our list of first experiences, Mike took me to my very first U2 concert at Cowboys Stadium a few days later. U2 is Mike's favorite band, and he and his brother usually go see them when they are in town. But this time I wanted to go, and unfortunately for John, wife trumped brother. We had a blast not only seeing the concert, but also the new stadium!
*But John didn't miss out on all the fun with his little brother. The next week he and Mike went on a 2 day "boys only" golf trip to Horseshoe Bay. I know they had a great time, because Mike texted me from the golf course, "This is the best Tuesday ever."
*And on the work front, my hours recently got cut and I am no longer working on Fridays. Yay for four day work weeks! Nay for not getting paid! So what have I done with my time off? Well, the first Friday I went shopping, which makes a whole lot of sense because if you are making less money the smart thing to do is to spend more money. But last Friday I was good. I went over to my mom's house, and we made side dishes to bring to a fabulous Girls Luncheon that my cousins hosted on Saturday. And this week, I am going to spend the day buying groceries, preparing food for the week, doing laundry, and cleaning house. Boy, I can't wait until tomorrow!
