I'm Still Here

I know that it has been awhile since I have updated the blog, and you are all so sweet to call/email to check up on me.

Mike and I are still hanging in there. It has been difficult to come to terms with the events of the past few months, but like all the other trials that we have faced, the Lord is bringing us through this. The good days definitely outnumber the bad ones now, and the hope we have in what the future holds for us is gradually being renewed.

Speaking of what lies ahead for us, here's an update on the baby front. Dr. K advised us to wait 2 months before trying again, so that's what we are doing. I was a bit frustrated by this at first (more waiting, ugh!), but it has actually been quite nice to have this time to focus just on ourselves and our relationship outside the all consuming realm of "trying to conceive". Our plan for right now is to continue taking a break for the summer, and then try another IUI in September.

Several people have asked me over the past few weeks how they can be praying for us specifically, so I wanted to let y'all know. Please pray that God would fill us each day with an abundance of strength, peace, joy, and hope. And that He would begin preparing our bodies, minds, and hearts for our next IUI procedure. (Or, even better, that He would help us get pregnant on our own before September rolls around :)! )
