New Moon Mania

I am a HUGE Twilight Fan, so is there any question as to where I was on Friday night?

Of course! At the highly anticipated opening of New Moon, along with my fellow Twilighter, Lacie.

This was a BIG DEAL, so months before the BIG DAY we made our plan of attack!

1. Select a Theater.

Just in time for the release of New Moon, the new 7th Street Movie Tavern had opened up, and let me tell you, we could not have made a better choice! The theater and food were first-rate, but even better, we were able to avoid the hordes of screaming teenage girls.

2. Buy Tickets in Advance.

Lacie was on top of this one! More than two weeks before the movie opened, she had our tickets in hand. There was no way that we were going to fall victim to a sold out show!

3. Arrive 1 Hour Before Showtime.

This is important for two reasons: 1) When you are excited about a movie, you want to have good seats and 2) when you go with a friend, you want to be able to sit together. What fun would it be to make comments about Edward vs. Jacob to a total stranger?

But as we entered the theater, we saw that even our best laid plans had gone awry. There were no seats left! Nada! This was a disaster of epic proportions! As person after person kept entering the theater, I noticed that we weren't the only ones without seats, and my concern quickly changed from "I might not be seeing this movie tonight!" to "What kind of riot is going to take place if 50+ Twi-fans don't get to see this movie tonight?"

Lucky for us (and them) Tavern Management came through, and led us into another theater that was going to be showing New Moon. After picking a prime spot, we settled into our large, cushy chairs, feasted on hot, grilled panini sandwiches, and watched the continuation of our favorite vampire love story.

And just for the record, I would like to state that no matter how hot Jacob may look without his shirt on, my loyalties will always lie with Team Edward. I even have the T-shirt to prove it!
