If you ask my dad what his most treasured earthly possession is, he would most certainly say our family portrait. It was taken almost 20 years ago, when I was about 10 and Tracy was 6 (think coordinated ruffled dresses and big hair bows). The picture proudly hangs in my parent's bedroom, right by the door, so they can see it everyday and be reminded of the blessing that is our family.
Knowing how much family means to my parents, Tracy and I decided that the perfect gift for Mother's Day and Father's Day was a new family portrait. The last one we had made was a few decades ago, so needless to say it is slightly out of date (and I'm not just talking about our clothes). We have since added two new members to the Gaskins clan - Mike, and my sister's husband Matt. We are all so thankful that they have become part of the family! So a few weeks ago while we were in Tyler, we once again donned coordinating outfits (more stylish this time, mind you) and had our picture made.
