Memorial Day Weekend

There is nothing like getting out of town for a few days, especially when you want to leave your life behind for a bit.
Mike and I spent a wonderful Memorial Day weekend with my family at Garden Valley Golf Resort in Tyler, Texas. We ate great food (Mexican, of course!), got beat by my sister in a friendly game of Scattergories, and enjoyed our time just relaxing while sitting on the porch. While the girls enjoyed a lazy Sunday afternoon reading (one of my favorite things to do!), the boys played a few rounds of golf. Tracy and I were even invited to join in on their second round. Of course we did not play, as neither one of us were gifted with very much athletic ability, but we were allowed to drive the carts and I even got the honor of being the "flag girl". Here are some pictures of trip:

What a fun little get-away! You were such a pro as the "flag girl" :) And I need some book suggestions for the summer! Hope you had a great time with your family!
