Ahhh, Fall

The beginning of a new season that brings with it cool weather, crisp air, and falling leaves. The start of school, football games, and the holidays.

But more importantly, it brings The New Fall TV Show Lineup!

Yes, it is that exciting because I really like to watch TV. Mike really likes to watch TV. Together we really like to watch TV. You could say that it is the glue that holds our marriage together.

Well, not really, but it's nice to have something in common with your spouse. And our thing just happens to be TV. We both like to come home after a long day's work, eat dinner on the couch with our TV trays, and watch our favorite shows. And on the weekends, we can spend all day watching show after show that we have taped during the week. Praise the Lord for DVR!

And now you know why there are hardly any photos on my blog. The things we do are either too boring or too inappropriate to take pictures of.

So, without further ado, here is the lowdown on The Calder Family's new and exciting Fall TV lineup.

The week will always start out great because Monday and Tuesday are Dancing with the Stars nights! In case you are wondering, my favorites of the season are Natalie Coughlin (I always like the Olympians), Mya, Kelly Osborne, and Joanna Krupa (I don't really know anything about her, but she is partnered with Derek). The other reality TV shows that we watch faithfully (as in never having missed a season) are Survivor and The Amazing Race.

Some of our returning favorites of the season are How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, and Two and a Half Men. I don't know about you, but I miss the good old comedy shows. Where have the days of Everybody Loves Raymond, Friends, and Frasier gone?

Instead, our nights are full of drama. (I would say that my life is full enough of drama as it is, but strangely enough, watching other people's drama makes me feel better about my own. I mean, at least I haven't been shot at or found my husband kissing the neighbor.) In this category we like to watch a lot of the crime shows like Castle, NCIS, and CSI, and also the family melodrama of Brothers & Sisters.

Mike has commented that I think "my" favorite shows are "our" favorite shows - meaning that if I like the show then we should watch it together, but if I don't, then he can just watch it on his own. This is why we have three TVs in our tiny little house. Now knowing how much we like TV, you might also say that having multiple TVs is what holds our marriage together. So while Mike is engrossed in some sort of sporting event or Top Chef, I watch Grey's Anatomy and The Mentalist on my own.

And now for the fun part - the new shows of the season! I will definitely be watching NCIS: Las Angeles, because I am a big fan of NCIS, and well, I have always thought Chris O'Donnell was a hottie! Other shows that we (or maybe just me) are going to give a try are The Good Wife, Mercy, Three Rivers and Flash Forward. We'll see how to first episode goes to determine if they make the official weekly lineup or not.

So there you have it folks. If you are ever wondering what Mike and I are doing between 7 and 10 at night, pick up your TV guide and you will have a pretty good idea.

My husband is a TV addict. If I want to see him in the evening, I have to find my way to the couch to watch some shows.
So - you aren't Office watchers?
Enjoy your TV time!

Fabulous...LOVE it!! I DVR DWTS & Grey's & unfort. I like One Life to Live as well but I can't even tell you how far behind I am! I just watched the 1st 3 shows of DWTS & actually skipped past the girls so I could see who got kicked off! HA!
My hubby doesn't watch "shows"...just whatever sports happens to be on, or if none are, then it's Sports Center which is the WORST thing to me! I love sports but not watching them yak & yak about what I just saw!!!
