Hawaiian Holiday

Our trip to Maui was absolutely fabulous!

Most days we spent laying on the beach, enjoying the spectacular views of the ocean and the surrounding islands.

But Mike and I also ventured out to see the rest of the island. We went to a traditional Hawaiian luau, drove (survived) the Road to Hana, hiked several miles to see a beautiful waterfall, and took a helicopter tour around the island. I have never seen anything more gorgeous!

On Christmas morning we woke up bright and early to go on a sunrise whale watching tour where right off the bat we saw a baby whale jumping out of the water. The sun coming up over the Pacific was just amazing!

Just as wonderful as the scenery was the food! Fresh Fish, Jasmine Rice, Hula Pie, oh my! Dining al fresco overlooking the ocean was spectacular.

I could so get used to island life!
